I have always loved travelling. I was lucky enough that from a young age, my parents took us all over the place, instilling in us a sense of larger spaces and broadened horizons. As I grew up, I became more independent in my travels and tried to figure out ways to do it more. Getting lost was second nature back then. The only resources we had were over-read guide books that by the time you reached their recommendations, the waiters would push their best sellers down your throats. So we h...

https://www.expedia.com/Taipei.d180030.Destination-Travel-Guides Taipei is the glittering capital of Taiwan, and one of the hottest travel destinations in all of Asia. When you visit this thriving city, you’ll find collections of stunning futuristic buildings interspersed with ancient Chinese temples and traditions. One of these temples, Longshan, is located in Wanhua, the city’s oldest neighborhood. This is where you come to find good fortune, good health, and spiritual advice of all sorts. Once you’ve attained the guidance and wisdom you may not have realized you sought, head to 228 Peace Park, where you will find the memorial to the 1949 uprisings that eventually led to Taiwan’s independence. Don’t worry about getting around the city; the Taipei Rapid Transit System, or MRT, will tak...

In recent decades, Taiwan has transformed itself into one of Asia's premier travel destinations. It's easy to fall in love with this city. The aroma of street food fills the air. Scooters and bicycles rule the streets. And surrounded by nature, tranquility is never more than a bus ride or hike away. Start your day at the Longshan Temple, the spiritual heart of Taipei. Taiwan's political heart is the district of Zhongshan, home to the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, 228 Peace Park and the National Taiwan Museum. Hop on Taipei's excellent MRT and head to the National Palace Museum, home to the world's greatest collection of Chinese art and antiquities. Taipei's streets are a treasure trove too. Enjoy the blooms at the flower markets. Hunt down bargains in giant department stores and cr...
http://www.expedia.com/Tainan-and-vicinity.d6177060.Destination-Travel-Guides The city of Tainan rises from the southwestern coastal plains of Taiwan, and is often called The Birthplace of Taiwan. In 1624, Dutch traders established a fort on the sandy peninsula Anping. Wander the fort’s ramparts and the nearby ruins of a merchant house held together by banyan roots. Closer to the city center rises Chihkan Tower, Taiwan’s first official seat of power. Today, the tower is the keeping place of many of the city’s earliest records and treasures. With over 2000 temples and shrines, Tainan is also known as The Kyoto of Taiwan. Highlights include the Sacrificial Rites Martial Temple and the Confucian Temple. Although Tainan ceded its political power to Taipei over a century ago, the ci...

Only in Taiwan you can taste the best Chinese food (no exaggeration) influenced by Japanese and aboriginal cuisines and let yourself be tempted by very special Taiwanese snacks! TRAVEL BACK IN TIME WITH US. There was a time in history, we saw the boys with quiff hair, girls with circle skirt on the street, and the colour television sat in our living room. We just loved tv shows, loved Elvis Presley singing those Rock N Roll songs. Women's best model for plastic surgery might be Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. (Oh no, plastic surgery wasn't invented yet) Our world had largely recovered from WorldWar II, however Space Race had just begun. We took a huge leap in science, technology, and also the popular culture. It was 1950s, we would like to call it the golden age. Super ADD and Jump From Paper both took the 1950s as inspiration. The installation art group Super ADD is going to create a site-specific installation art by using colour paper and some other unknow...

You have chosen RED. Mike Thorton is a cocky Soldier with Assault Rifles as his area of expertise. He's also pretty damn tough, and knows his way around technical gadgets.
